George M. Chioran, O.D., M.D., F.A.C.S.
An eye physician and surgeon, Dr. George Chioran is one of the few eye care providers in Central Ohio to be trained in both ophthalmology and optometry. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a graduate of both the Ohio State University College of Optometry and the Indiana University College of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency in Indianapolis where he was selected Chief Teaching Resident. During his training he was honored with research fellowships from the American Medical Association and Fight For Sight, and has published research articles on a wide range of topics, including optic nerve disease, color vision, and eye movement control.
As an educator, Dr. Chioran served on the faculty of the Indiana University College of Optometry, where he won several teaching awards from his students. He is currently on the clinical faculty of the Ohio State University Department of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he had the foresight to recognize that laser vision correction would transform the way people would see the world. In 1995 he was one of the first physicians in Central Ohio to be trained in Laser Vision Correction, and helped proctor other physicians in Ohio as they learned these techniques.
In 1998 Dr. Chioran was honored with the Columbus Medical Association Public Service Award. He is listed as one of America's Top Ophthalmologists by Consumers' Research Council of America. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. He is also a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgeons and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Vision Center of Central Ohio.
Steven H. Suh, M.D.

A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Steven Suh graduated with honors from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Landacre Research Honor Society. He completed an internship with Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus and went on to complete his ophthalmology training at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Suh has been named one of America's Top Ophthalmologists by Consumers' Research Council of America. He has published eye and vision research articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology annual meetings. |
Dr. Suh specializes in advanced, small-incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation. He is experienced in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, laser treatment of the retina, pterygium surgery, and eyelid surgery. He also performs Laser Vision Correction.
Dr. Suh is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the Ohio State Medical Association and the Columbus Medical Association. Dr. Suh serves as a volunteer ophthalmologist for the Vision Care Outreach program through Prevent Blindness Ohio. In August of 2008, he joined Medical Ministry International on an eye care mission project to Tampico, Mexico to examine, treat, and perform surgery on patients.
Gregory C. Landis, O.D.

With broad experience in the optical field, Dr. Gregory Landis directs low vision and contact lens services at CECCO. He received both his undergraduate degree and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. He completed his residency at Cleveland Wade Park Veterans Administration Medical Center and also served there as a consultant directing the work of optometry students and residents in the hospital optometry clinic. |
Michael P. Gilliland, O.D.

Dr. Gilliland joined Comprehensive EyeCare in December of 2009 after having his own private practice in north Columbus for over 20 years. He did his undergraduate studies as well as his optometry schooling at The Ohio State University. Dr. Gilliland continues to further his education, especially in the areas of contact lenses, eye disease evaluation and treatment and laser surgery co-management. He is a member of The Ohio Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He regularly donates his time to free vision screenings for underprivleged children and local schools. His professional interests include treatment of eye diseases and laser surgery co-management. |
